Paul
Roberts was born in 1960 and, in his formative years; he studied
the piano, classical organ and clarinet. Whilst reading Economic
History at Liverpool University he successfully completed several
music diplomas.
His tutors have included Noel Rawsthorne (Cathedral and City Organist
of Liverpool) and Arthur Hutchings (formerly Professor of Music
at Durham University).

has never been a full- time occupation for Paul and he combines a
hectic concert schedule with owning and running his thriving West
Country Entertainment's Agency, Wessex Entertainment.
In
1994 he completed a decade as joint organist with Brian Sharp at
Sandford Park in Dorset playing both pipe and electronic organs
during their long summer seasons.
For the past seventeen years Paul has been a consistently prominent
name on the United Kingdom organ circuit, playing at virtually every
organ society and pipe organ installation in this country.
A
regular broadcaster in this country and in other parts of the world,
Paul has also appeared on T.V. in the United Kingdom and the United
States of America and has been a prolific writer for music journals.

| Paul’s
concert tours have taken him abroad to various parts of Europe, and
he has toured America and Canada ten times. In 1996 he completed a
‘World Tour’, which lasted three and a half months and involved concerts
throughout Australia, the North and South islands of New Zealand,
the USA (including Hawaii) and Canada. In addition, he took the opportunity
to visit India, Thailand and Fiji. Paul is the first artiste on the
concert circuit ever to play all these countries in one continuous
tour. In 2000 Paul returned to the USA for his thirteenth tour, consisting
of some thirty concerts, and will play in America on two tours in
2001. Paul returns to Australia and New Zealand in 2002. Paul Roberts
has four LP records, seven cassettes, seven CDs and seven videos to
his credit. His tuition videos continue to sell in their thousands
through retail outlets in the U.K. Europe, USA and the Antipodes.
Paul has held recording contracts with ‘Sounds Ultimate’, ‘Dance and
Listen Records’ and, most recently, with ‘Telstar plc’ most recently
he has released two CD/Cassette recordings for the ‘Castle Communications’
ensuring the continuation of large volumes of sales of his recordings
in all major retail outlets. In the U.K. he has over one hundred concert
dates arranged for organ societies and hopes to meet you at one of
them. |
